Presentation in a BoxWould you like to tell your local quilt group about The Applique Society but don't really know how? Would you like to find out if there are other appliquers in your large quilt guild? Would you like to present an applique demonstration... but don't really know where to start?
We have the solution! The board of TAS has assembled a collection of items for you to use to spread the word. Included in the collection are brochures, 8x10 photos, patterns, newsletters, & actual blocks of various applique styles (for example, Baltimore, Hawaiian, & Sunbonnet Sue). Also included in the Box is a camera-ready TAS advertisement which you can submit to your newsletter editor. What if someone says "I'm ready to join. Sign me up!"? You'll have application forms & a list of chapter leader contact names for the new member.
And, if you'd like to talk about TAS, we'll include a Top Ten Facts-About-TAS List. You can use this list to tell non-appliquers about TAS. In addition to the Top Ten List, an applique matching game will be included. It contains blocks of different applique techniques (needleturn, freezer paper, backbasting, reverse applique, etc.) which the players will identify.
Plus, if you'd like to set up a TAS table or booth at a local event, we can send you all the items you'll need, including a TAS logo sign. Of course, you are welcome to add additional items from your own collection to the display. We're happy to offer you many display items & let you customize the display.
To request the Box, complete the Presentation In A Box Request Form found below and submit it. The application will help us understand the date range you'll need the Box, which items you want sent, & quantities. The Box will be sent to you with a return address label & postage, so that you can easily & quickly return the container to Box Mom. Your prompt return of the Box will insure that it can be sent to the next recipient as scheduled. If there's something you'd especially like to see included, we'd like to hear your suggestions! We'll do our best to send you items which will help you share the spirit of applique with your friends.
